Meeting Notification: Massachusetts Gaming Commission to publicly present results of the ‘evaluation process’ for the three slots applications

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner James McHugh, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold an open public meeting beginning Tuesday, February 25th, and continuing on Wednesday, February 26th, Thursday, February 27th, and Friday, February 28th.
Each of the five Commissioners has taken the lead on overseeing a group of advisers and industry experts to evaluate each gaming proposal based the Commission’s key five evaluation categories including: 1. Overview of Project; 2. Finance; 3. Economic Development; 4. Building and Site Design; 5. Mitigation.
Each commissioner will publicly present the results of their evaluation analysis and findings to their fellow commissioners. Commissioners will then have the opportunity to ask questions regarding each of the commissioner’s presentations. The information presented will then lead to public deliberations ultimately resulting in the issuance of the Commonwealth’s sole slots license.

These final steps of the ‘Evaluation Process’ are being conducted in an open, public manner consistent with the Commission’s mission statement of creating a fair, transparent, and participatory process for the arrival of expanded gaming. This award marks the first expanded gaming license to be issued by the Commission.
