UPDATE: MassGaming to hold public meeting on 12/18, Topics include Central Management System, Community Mitigation and Responsible Gaming

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner James McHugh, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold its 141st open public meeting on Thursday, December 18th. The Commission is expected to discuss and vote on a variety of topics.
CLARIFICATION: The Commission will receive a presentation and a recommendation from the Central Management System procurement management team on use of a Central Management System as a part of the Commission’s regulatory operating model.
Also, the Commission will discuss findings regarding the environmental impacts and the implementation of mitigation strategies at Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville. The Commission is also expected to vote on the Community Mitigation Fund application and process.
Additionally, the Commission will be briefed on a number of legal matters including a Department of Revenue request for interpretation of reporting and tax thresholds.
The Director of Research and Responsible Gaming, Mark Vander Linden, will present on a variety of subjects to include a presentation on a responsible gaming branding initiative known as ‘GameSense’. Lastly, the Commission is expected to vote on revised play management and research agenda recommendations.
