Massachusetts Gaming Commission to hold Open Public Meeting on 11/6/14

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner James McHugh, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga¸ representatives from MGM Springfield, representatives from Wynn MA, LLC.
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold its 138th open public meeting on Thursday, November 6th. The Commission will vote on the applications it has received to conduct live horse racing in 2015.
The Commission will also vote to officially award resort-casino licenses to MGM Springfield and Wynn MA, LLC, and will discuss the licensees’ assessment fees. In addition, the Commission will discuss the grant process for the Community Mitigation Fund.
The Commission will hear an update on the status of the resort-casino licensing process in Region C (Southeastern Massachusetts). Also, the Commission will receive updates on matters related to Workforce Development, Problem Gambling and the Research Agenda.
