Interim Chair Jordan Maynard to speak at National Conference on Gambling Addiction and Responsible Gambling

Mass Gaming Commission Interim Chair Jordan Maynard is set to speak Wednesday, July 17 at the 2024 National Conference on Gambling Addiction and Responsible Gambling in San Diego, California. The conference, hosted by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), runs from July 17 through July 19 and is the oldest and largest annual national conference in its field.
“The National Conference on Gambling Addiction & Responsible Gambling brings together world-class presenters to deliver powerful and insightful messages about problem gambling and responsible gambling,” the conference website reads.

On Wednesday afternoon, Chair Maynard is slated to serve on a panel with two other gaming regulators from across the country as the group discusses the state of sports wagering in 2024, responsible gaming, tax revenues, and more. Serving on the panel with Chair Maynard is Amanda Blackford, who serves as the Director of Operations & Problem Gambling Services for the Ohio Casino Control Commission, as well as Jamie McKelvey, the Deputy Attorney General for the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
That panel – entitled Balancing Act: A Regulator’s Role in Keeping Sports Betting Fun in 2024 – will be moderated by Jill Dorson, a veteran journalist who has covered sports wagering, casino legalization, and a wide swath of different sports throughout her decades-long career.
