Help our heroes get hired! The Massachusetts Gaming Commission hosts Veteran Small Business Forum
WHAT: In honor of the 5th Annual National Veterans Small Business Week, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC), in partnership with its gaming licensees, will hold an event highlighting opportunities for veteran small business owners seeking to do business with the state’s emerging gaming industry. This event will provide the relevant education and networking opportunities for veteran entrepreneurs to pursue a business relationship with the Commonwealth’s casinos.
The program will provide anyone who works with a veteran audience helpful information about the following:
- LEARN about casino procurement opportunities and upcoming vendor fairs
- UNDERSTAND MGC’s regulatory licensing and registration process required for doing business with casinos
- MEET casino representatives
- HEAR about the Massachusetts Veteran Certification process
WHO: United States Military Veteran Entrepreneurs; Veteran agencies and organizations, MGC representatives from the Division of Licensing and the Department of Workforce, Supplier and Diversity Development; and Representatives from Plainridge Park Casino, MGM Springfield, and Encore Boston Harbor

WHY: The gaming law includes a legislative mandate to ensure the gaming industry in Massachusetts is inclusive and accessible. This event is one of the many ways that the Commonwealth is fostering growth and economic development in support of our nation’s military heroes.
