Registration Remains Open for the MGC’s May 14 Conference on Examining Social Impacts of Sports Betting and Changing Gambling Landscape

Happy New Year! MassGaming to hold first public meeting of 2016! Topics include Open Meeting Law, Daily Fantasy Sports and Voluntary Self-Exclusion Regulations

WHO:             Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including   Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Lloyd Macdonald, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga

WHAT:              The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 174th open public meeting on January, 7th. The Commission will have a discussion about recent correspondence received from the Office of the Attorney General regarding the Open Meeting Law. In addition, Chairman Crosby will provide a status update on the progress of the Daily Fantasy Sports white paper.

MGC’s Research and Responsible Gaming Director Mark Vander Linden, in collaboration with legal staff, will lead a discussion about potential amendments to voluntary self-exclusion regulations.

The Commission is also expected to vote on key employee gaming license awards and the Plainridge Park Racecourse Capital Improvement Fund reimbursement request.
