Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on December 16, 2024; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, including Chair Jordan Maynard and Commissioners Paul Brodeur, Brad Hill, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #542 on Monday, December 21, 2024.
Once the meeting is called to order, the Commission will consider meeting minutes from a series of Commission meetings November 27, 2023, and January 11, 2023. Executive Director Dean Serpa will then provide an administrative update, followed by Commissioner Brad Hill’s legislative update.
The Legal division will lead a discussion regarding HG Vora status and request for relief concerning intent to nominate board nominees of Penn Entertainment, Inc.
Director of Racing Dr. Alexandra Lightbown will then introduce a number of requests from Plainridge Park Casino, Suffolk Downs, and Raynham Park concerning the 2025 racing season.
The Sports Wagering division will follow with a request for a temporary waiver for FanDuel from identity authentication questions requirement in 205 CMR 248.04, as well as an update to DraftKing’s house rules.
Commissioners also expect to hear from both the Investigation and Enforcement Bureau, as well as the Community Affairs division.
The Commission then anticipates that it will meet in executive session to review minutes from previous executive sessions on November 21, 2024, and January 11, 2023.
Commissioner Updates are expected to follow, rounding out the meeting.
