Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on October 24, 2024; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Interim Chair Jordan Maynard and Commissioners Brad Hill, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #537 on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
Once the meeting is called to order, the Commission will hear an administrative update from Executive Director Dean Serpa regarding both an overview of the upcoming Community Mitigation Fund grantee visit, and a gaming agent casino update.
The meeting will then move on to Research and Responsible Gaming for a presentation of the report, Social and Economic Impacts of Casino Introduction to Massachusetts. There will also be a presentation of the GameSense quarterly report.
Next, the Sports Wagering Division will present an update to the house rules of both Plainridge Park Casino, and Fanatics Betting and Gaming. The Community Affairs Division will follow with a presentation on the adoption of PPC renewal policies. The Finance Division will then deliver the first budget update of FY2025.
The Investigations and Enforcement Bureau will present briefings on noncompliance matter related to Temporary Category 3 Sports Wagering Licensees BetMGM, LLC, and Betfair Interactive LLC, d/b/a FanDuel, and discussion regarding next steps for both matters.
There will also be a discussion regarding the financial suitability investigation process for sports wagering operator and vendor licenses. The Commission anticipates meeting in executive session for this discussion.
Commissioner Updates are expected to follow, rounding out the meeting.
There is time reserved at the end of the meeting for any other business the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.
