Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on May 8, 2023; Conference Call Available

WHO:                     Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Brad Hill, Jordan Maynard, Eileen O’Brien, and Nakisha Skinner

WHAT:                The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #451 on Monday, May 8, 2023.

After the meeting is called to order, Executive Director Karen Wells will lead an Administrative Update. Following that the Commission will hear the Independent Monitor Report.

The MGC’s Sports Wagering Division will then lead a discussion covering a review of a request for six events from U.S. Integrity, a review of a petition form, and a review of compliance by sports wagering operators with 205 CMR 243.01(x) relative to technical security control audits by a qualified independent technical expert.

The MGC’s Research and Responsible Gaming team will then cover the FY24 Research Agenda.

Commissioner Updates are set to follow, where Commissioners will discuss succession of officers and positions.

The Investigations and Enforcement Bureau will lead the following portion of the meeting, covering a discussion regarding a sports-wagering-related suitability investigation, ahead of an anticipated Executive Session by the Commission.

The Legal Division is then set to discuss SEIU Local 888 Collective Bargaining ahead of a separate anticipated Executive Session. The Commission does not intend to reconvene the public session of the meeting at the conclusion of that Executive Session.

There is time allotted near the end of the meeting for any other business that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting.

The Commission reserves the right to vote on these or other matters during the meeting.
