Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on December 3; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien, Bruce Stebbins, and Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #329 on Thursday, December 3, 2020.
After an approval of minutes, Executive Director Karen Wells will provide an administrative update, which will include the following:
- Staffing Update
- On-Site Casino Updates
- Racing Update
Joe Delaney, Chief of the MGC’s Division of Community Affairs, will introduce representatives from MGM Springfield and Plainridge Park Casino for the presentations of each property’s quarterly report.
Delaney will also ask that the Commission vote on a Community Mitigation Reserve Grant and Workforce Modification.
Members from the MGC’s Legal Division and Investigations and Enforcement Bureau will request that the Commission vote on the following:
- 205 CMR 134.01: Key Gaming Employee Licensees. The proposed amendment will allow the licensee to bring in staff from a sister property in an emergency situation to serve as Key Gaming Employees without requiring licensure – and Small Business Impact Statement, for emergency adoption and approval to move through the formal promulgation process – VOTE
- 205 CMR 134.02: Gaming Employee Licensees. The proposed amendment will allow the licensee to bring in staff from a sister property in an emergency situation to serve as gaming employees without requiring licensure – and Small Business Impact Statement, for emergency adoption and approval to move through the formal promulgation process – VOTE
General Counsel Todd Grossman and members from the MGC’s Division of Workforce, Supplier and Diversity Development will provide a Legislative Filings Update.
Chief Financial and Accounting Officer Derek Lennon and Revenue Manager Douglas O’Donnell will present a First Quarter Budget Update.
Commissioner Zuniga and Commissioner O’Brien will then lead a discussion on a draft review of the MGC’s upcoming Annual Report.
