Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on June 18 in third of week’s three public meetings; Conference Call Available

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien, Bruce Stebbins, and Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #308 on Thursday, June 18, 2020.
After an approval of minutes, MGC Director of Racing Dr. Alex Lightbown will provide updates on racing legislation and simulcasting at Suffolk Downs and Raynham Park.
Interim Executive Director Karen Wells and MGC staff members will request that the Commission vote on the following:
- Plainridge Park Casino License Renewal – VOTE
- MGM Springfield Suitability Qualifier – VOTE
- Encore Boston Harbor Suitability Qualifier – VOTE
Construction Project Oversight Manager Joseph Delaney and Program Manager Mary Thurlow will present on Group 1 of the Community Mitigation Fund Application Review process. A vote on this matter is anticipated.
Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden, alongside Dr. Rachel Volberg, will report on Gambling Formats, Involvement and Problem Gambling.
Chief Financial and Accounting Officer Derek Lennon, members from the MGC’s Finance Division and Commissioner Zuniga will lead a discussion on Budget Year 2021.
