Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on September 12, 2019

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien, Bruce Stebbins, and Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #276 on Thursday, September 12, 2019.
The meeting will begin with an approval of minutes, followed by an administrative update from Executive Director Ed Bedrosian.
The MGC’s Legal Division will request that the Commission vote on the following:
- Region C – Motion for Reconsideration – VOTE
- Initial Draft Versions of 205 CMR 134.01 and 134.06 Re: Licensing and Registration of Employees, Vendors, Junket Enterprises and Representatives, and Labor Organizations and Small Business Impact Statements – VOTE to begin the promulgation process
Encore Boston Harbor President Robert DeSalvio and Senior Vice President and General Counsel Jacqui Krum will provide a presentation to the Commission about the casino’s Quarterly Report.
The presentation will be followed by a discussion regarding Plainridge Park Casino’s License Renewal Process, led by Commissioner O’Brien, Commissioner Zuniga and Deputy General Counsel Todd Grossman.
Commissioner Stebbins and Gaming Agents Division Chief Bruce Band will provide a presentation regarding licensee policies on switching jackpots.
Investigations and Enforcement Bureau Director Karen Wells will request that the Commission vote on the following:
- Modification of Massachusetts Supplemental Form – VOTE
- Modification of Criminal History Section in License/Registration Application Forms – VOTE
Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden will invite Dr. Rachel Volberg, principal investigator on the MGC’s Social and Economic Impacts of Gambling in Massachusetts (SEIGMA) study, to present on Wave 3 of the MA Gaming Impact Cohort Study (MAGIC).
