Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on January 10, 2019

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including interim Chair Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Eileen O’Brien, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold its 258th open public meeting on Thursday, January 10, 2019. The public meeting will begin with a general administrative update from Executive Director Ed Bedrosian. This update will include a discussion about required regulatory opening preparations for Encore Boston Harbor and a Commission vote about service employee exemptions.
The MGC’s Legal Division will then brief the Commission about Wynn litigation developments happening in Nevada.
Representatives from Encore Boston Harbor will present a quarterly report.
Dr. Alex Lightbown, director of the Racing Division, will request Commission votes on quarterly local aid payments and 2017 payments to individual patrons from the 2017 Suffolk Downs out book.
Chief Finance and Accounting Officer Derek Lennon will present the Commission with the FY19 MGC mid-year budget review.
Lastly, the Commission will go into Executive Session pursuant to M.G.L. chapter 30A section 21 (a)(3) to discuss strategy for Wynn-related litigation.
