WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Interim Chair Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Eileen O’Brien, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 253rd open public meeting on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
The public meeting will begin with a general administrative update from Executive Director Ed Bedrosian. Commissioners are expected to vote on the confirmation of Gayle Cameron as Interim Chair of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
Also, the Commission will hear a presentation by researchers from UMass Amherst and the Donahue Institute on the Two-Year Real Estate Impact Report. This report, a deliverable of MGC’s Research Agenda, will describe changes to the real estate market in and around Plainville following the 2015 opening of Plainridge Park Casino.
Additionally, MGC Director of Workforce, Supplier and Diversity Development Jill Griffin will update the Commissioners on a request for public comment period regarding Encore Boston Harbor’s initial draft affirmative action plan for local vendors.
