Meeting Notification: MGC to hold Public Meeting on 3/30, Topics: Suffolk Downs, Research Agenda Update, and Responsible Gaming

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Stephen Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 213th open public meeting on THURSDAY, March 30, 2017.
The Commission is expected to vote on the sale of the Suffolk Downs racing facility. Also, Plainridge Park Racecourse will provide an update on its 2017 racing meet.
As part of a research and responsible gaming overview, researchers from UMass Amherst will present the Commission with a deeper analysis of the baseline general population survey. MGC Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden will lead a discussion about responsible gaming planning for the Category 1 licensees (Wynn Boston Harbor and MGM Springfield). Marlene Warner, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Council of Compulsive Gambling, will present to the Commission in recognition of Problem Gambling Awareness Month.
Lastly, the Commission will discuss the rollout of Table Game Rules and Regulations.
