Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on December 1 in Springfield, Commissioners will tour MGM Springfield construction site prior to meeting

WHO:            Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Lloyd Macdonald, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga

WHAT:           The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 205th open public meeting on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1st, 2016. .

MGM Springfield will present its Quarterly Report. Commissioners are expected to vote on final 2017 Community Mitigation Fund guidelines. Chairman Crosby will also lead a discussion about online gaming.

MEDIA NOTE:            MGM Springfield executives will host a site tour of the 14-acre, three-block property. MGC Commissioners and staff will get a progress update, as well as a briefing about upcoming construction activity. MGM Springfield’s President Mike Mathis, Vice President and General Counsel Seth Stratton, and Vice President of Development and Construction, Brian Packer will lead the tour from MGM Way, the future site of the South End food market, through the heart of the property and end near the new site of the First Spiritualist Church.

The tour is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Parking will be available in the lot adjacent to 73 State Street, via State Street.

This is a walking tour of an active construction site.  Anyone attending the tour MUST wear closed-toe, flat shoes.
