Meeting Notification: MGC to hold open meeting on 7/21, TOPICS: Workforce Development, PlayMyWay, Horse Racing, Regulations and the Community Mitigation Fund

WHO: Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Lloyd Macdonald, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga.
WHAT: The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 195th open public meeting on Thursday, July 21, 2016.
The Commission will discuss workforce development and receive an update from several community colleges about the ongoing establishment of gaming industry workforce training programs.
MGC’s Director of Research and Responsible Gaming Mark Vander Linden will provide an update on the PlayMyWay program and lead a discussion about the upcoming Responsible Gaming Education Week scheduled for – CORRECTION: August 1st – August 5th.
The Commission is expected to vote on a series of horse racing-related matters, including approval of Local Aid payments and a request from Brockton Fairgrounds seeking Race Horse Development Funds.
The Commission will review and vote on a series of regulations. Lastly, the Commission is expected to review Community Mitigation Fund awards.
