As part of its effort to ensure that local businesses have the resources they need to be successful partners in the Expanded Gaming industry, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission’s Office of Workforce, Supplier and Diversity Development has become a referral partner to the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC). MassGaming is now accepting applications from businesses interested in a nomination for ICIC’s tuition-free executive education seminar, The Inner City Capital Connection (ICCC). To be held on September 24, 2015 in Boston, ICCC is designed to provide top growing inner city businesses with tools to accelerate growth and access capital.

A message from Jill Griffin, Director of Workforce, Diversity and Supplier Development about the recent announcement of the MGM Resorts HCC Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts at Holyoke

On Monday, July 11th, I joined Massachusetts Gaming Commission Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins, and Executive Director Ed Bedrosian and others at the announcement of funding for the MGM Resorts HCC Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts at Holyoke. The city of Holyoke is receiving $1.28 million in community impact payments from MGM and is providing HCC with $400,000 of those payments to go towards the center. As part of stipulations of the partnerships between the city of Holyoke, HCC and MGM Springfield, 50 Holyoke residents will have free entry to the non-credit programs every year.
