PHOTOS: Massachusetts Casino Careers Training Institute readies to accept students interested in learning table games

MassGaming congratulates the Massachusetts Casino Career Training Institute (MCCTI) Gaming School as it readies to accept students interested in learning table games.

MCCTI, operated as a collaboration between Holyoke Community College (HCC) and Springfield Technical Community College (STCC), is located at 95 State Street, 9th Floor, Springfield, Massachusetts, at the MGM Springfield facility.

At an open house on February 13th, MGM Springfield announced that students who successfully complete at least two courses at MCCTI and subsequently obtain a job at MGM Springfield will be eligible for tuition reimbursement if they remain employed with MGM Springfield for a year.

MGM Springfield is seeking to hire approximately 450 table games dealers.

MCCTI’s gaming school curriculum has been certified by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission pursuant to MGC’s regulation 205 CMR 137.00. The regulation requires that at a minimum, its curriculum shall include the following:

  • Rules and techniques of the game
  • Proper handling of chips/plaques, gaming equipment like cards, dice, and tiles
  • Industry standards for acceptance of cash and tips
  • Training in responsible gaming
  • Training in CPR

Classes are forming now and will begin on Monday, February 26, 2018.
