Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on March 14, 2019

WHO:                   Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chair Cathy Judd-Stein and Commissioners Gayle Cameron, Eileen O’Brien, Bruce Stebbins, and Enrique Zuniga 

WHAT:                The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold open public meeting #264 on Thursday, March 14, 2019.

The Commission will open the meeting and enter executive session pursuant to M.G.L. chapter 30A section 21 (a)(3) regarding Wynn-related litigation matters.

Following the executive session, the public meeting will resume with a general administrative update from Executive Director Ed Bedrosian.

Dr. Alex Lightbown, director of MGC Racing Division, will request that the Commission vote on several horse racing matters that include the following:

  • Plainridge Park Racecourse Request for Approval of Racing Officials and Key Operating Personnel
  • Plainridge Park Racecourse Request for Waiver of 205 CMR 3.12 (6) – Qualifying Race Requirement
  • Standardbred Owners of Massachusetts Recognition Request as Breeder’s Representative Group
  • MA Thoroughbred Breeders Association Request to Race at Finger Lakes

The Commission will then receive an update about the status of the SEIGMA procurement.
