Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on August 14, 2018

WHO:                   Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Eileen O’Brien, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga   

WHAT:              The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 250th open public meeting on TUESDAY, August 14, 2018.

The public meeting will begin with a general administrative update from Executive Director Ed Bedrosian. The Commission is then expected to vote on proposed programming from MGM Springfield’s iconic sign.

The Investigations and Enforcement Bureau will request a Commission vote for the interim authorization of the Plainridge Park Casino REIT transaction.

Plainridge Park Casino and Encore Boston Harbor will each present a quarterly report.

The Licensing Division will seek Commission approval for MGM employee and vendor exemptions.

Lastly, the Racing Division will request several Commission votes on two requests from Suffolk Downs about additional race days and purse money, and a request from the Massachusetts Breeders Association to race at Finger Lakes.
