Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on 9/14, TOPICS: Plainridge Park Casino Quarterly Report, Horse Racing, 2018 Community Mitigation Fund and Regulations

 

 WHO:               Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Stephen Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Lloyd MacDonald, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga

WHAT:             The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 224th open public meeting on THURSDAY, September 14, 2017.

The meeting will begin with a review and a Commission vote on an updated mission and core values statements. The Commission will also review MGC’s current Enhanced Code of Ethics.

Commissioner Bruce Stebbins will brief the Commission about his initiative to develop potential strategies for the Economic Development Fund.

The Commission is expected to vote on several requests for racing-related funds.

Plainridge Park Casino will present a quarterly report. MGC Ombudsman John Ziemba will lead a discussion about policy guidelines for the 2018 Community Mitigation Fund.

The Legal Division will present a series of regulations requiring a Commission vote.

Lastly, Chairman Crosby will provide an update on legislation regarding Gaming Service Employees.
