Meeting Notification: MGC to hold public meeting on 12/7, TOPICS: PPC Quarterly Report, Pedestrian Bridge Study, Community Mitigation Fund and Horse Racing

 

 

WHO:             Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Lloyd MacDonald, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga

WHAT:                The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 230th open public meeting on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2017.

The Commission will start the meeting with an administrative update to include a status report about national development on sports betting. The Commission is expected to vote on the mid-year budget report.

Plainridge Park Casino will deliver its quarterly report.  The Commission will receive an update related to Wynn Boston Harbor about the pedestrian bridge study currently underway. The Commission is also expected to vote on the 2018 Community Mitigation Fund guidelines.

The Northeast Center for Tradeswomen Equity will brief the Commission on the recent launch of the “Build A Life That Works” campaign, a new workforce development initiative designed to inspire women to pursue a career in the building trades.

Research and Responsible Gaming Director Mark Vander Linden will lead a discussion about play management strategies and recommendations on how to proceed. The Investigation and Enforcement Bureau Director Karen Wells will introduce a discussion about MGC’s Exclusion List.

Lastly, the Commission is expected to vote on a series of horse racing-related issues.
