Public Hearing Notification: MassGaming to hold public hearing on MGM Springfield’s proposed design changes

Public input meeting to offer opportunity for community members to provide the Commission feedback on recently proposed design changes to resort-casino project

WHO:              The Massachusetts Gaming Commission and members of the public

WHAT:            The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will host a public hearing as a means to facilitate public discussion regarding MGM Springfield’s recently proposed design changes for its resort-casino project in Region B (Western Massachusetts). No votes or decisions will be made at this hearing; it is an opportunity for the Commission to gather information and gauge public sentiment. WHEN/WHERE:         December 3, 2015 at 2:30pm

MassMutual Center, 1277 Main Street, Rooms 4&5, Springfield, MA

GUIDELINES: Those who wish to submit written comments in advance of the hearing may do so by sending an email to mgccomments@state.ma.us with “MGM Springfield Design Changes” in the subject line. All comments received via email will be made public in their entirety, including the identity of the commenter, and distributed to the Commission for their review prior to the hearing.

Members of the public who wish to address the Commission at the hearing may place their name on the list of speakers by sending an email to mgccomments@state.ma.us  with ‘Request to address the Commission/MGM Springfield” in the subject line. Individuals will also have an opportunity to sign up to address the Commission on the day of the hearing prior to its start.

In order to use the available time most efficiently, the Commission will limit each speaker to 3 minutes.
