Meeting Notification: MGC to hold Public Meeting in Springfield, TOPICS: MGM Quarterly Report, Race Horse Development Fund, MGM Workforce Development Plan and the Massachusetts Casino Career Training Institute Update

 

WHO:               Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Stephen Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Lloyd MacDonald, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga

WHAT:              The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 217th open public meeting on THURSDAY, May 25, 2017.

Representatives from MGM Springfield will present its quarterly report. The Commission is expected to vote on a Community Mitigation Fund request from the city of Medford. MGC’s Director of Racing Alex Lightbown will provide the commissioners with a legislative update on the Race Horse Development Fund.

The Commission is expected to vote on the 2017 MGM operations workforce development plan. Representatives from the Massachusetts Casino Careers Training Institute will provide a status update. Commissioner Bruce Stebbins will lead a discussion about the Gaming Economic Development Fund.

The Commission is also expected to continue the discussion about the ongoing review of gaming service employee registration.
