Meeting Notification: MassGaming to hold open public meeting on April 17th, Topics include schedule discussions for Regions A, B and C

WHO:             Members of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission including Chairman Steve Crosby, Commissioner Gayle Cameron, Commissioner James McHugh, Commissioner Bruce Stebbins and Commissioner Enrique Zuniga and representatives from MGM Springfield

WHAT:          The Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold an open public meeting on Thursday, April 17th.  The meeting’s agenda will include several discussions related to scheduling and timeline for Regions A (Eastern Mass), B (Western Mass) and C (Southeastern Mass).

 The Commission is expected to vote on matters related to the Region C master schedule and also the request for a variance from 205 CMR 122 Capital Investment. It is also anticipated that representatives from MGM Springfield will address the Commission regarding licensing timeline issues for Region B. The Commission will also discuss Region A arbitration deadline requests.

The Racing Division is expected to present a number of administrative issues for the Commission’s consideration. It is also anticipated that the Commission will vote on the Penn National and Turner Construction Diversity plan that was presented to commissioners at the last open meeting.

Lastly, the Commission is expected to address a number of administrative issues including the quarterly budget report, policy handbook revisions and other legislative matters for consideration.
