A letter from MGC Chairman Stephen Crosby to the Legislature regarding the Race Horse Development Fund

On June 7, 2017, Chairman Steve Crosby sent a letter to the Massachusetts Legislature regarding the Race Horse Development Fund. As a former A&F Secretary, Chairman Crosby notes that he is fully sensitive to budget pressures and acknowledges that there are many worthy causes in need of money. However, as stewards of the strategy that the Legislature has so far laid out for the horse racing industry, the Gaming Commission deemed it was appropriate to make a public comment for consideration.
